- Apple is launching a new healthcare venture, called AC Wellness, that will deliver healthcare and wellness services to the company’s employees, according to major news outlets.

The health and wellness clinics will primarily serve Apple employees in Santa Clara, California, and eventually expand to other Apple locations.

The news comes a few weeks after Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway, and JPMorgan & Chase announced the formation of a healthcare company aimed at providing cost-effective healthcare for their employees.

Limited information about the clinics and subsidy is available on the AC Wellness website, including a brief description of the company and a career listing for interested healthcare professionals.

The clinics will provide members a concierge-like healthcare experience where healthcare providers and professionals are expected to focus on patient experience, wellness, and population health, Apple says.

AC Wellness professionals must also expect to integrate clinical practices and technology to improve patient engagement.

“AC Wellness Network believes that having trusting, accessible relationships with our patients, enabled by technology, promotes high-quality care and a unique patient experience,” the company said on their website.

Apple has also posted various job listings on the new website, and sites like Indeed.com, for providers, behavioral health partners, patient navigators, wellness coaches, and nursing coordinators.
